Quality and Academic Accreditation Committee
Key Tasks:
- Promoting the concept of Quality among all department members.
- Preparing for quality and academic accreditation requirements according to the standards of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission.
- Aligning program learning outcomes at the College and those required by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission.
- Preparing and reviewing program reports and improvement plans while maintaining national qualification standards.
- Maintaining skill and knowledge requirements with national frameworks and local job market demands.
- Ensuring alignment of learning outcomes with NBU's graduate attributes.
- Following up on all academic quality and accreditation activities related to teaching and learning.
Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Committee
Key Tasks:
- Determining the department's needs for postgraduate programs.
- Advancing admission requirements for the department's postgraduate programs.
- Developing standards for thesis proposals, scientific seminars, academic advising, and the supervision processes as well as thesis defenses.
- Monitoring faculty research output, including publications, studies, and participation in scientific conferences and symposiums .
Academic Planning and Scheduling Committee
Key Tasks:
- Coordinating with the university's Deanship of Postgraduate studies and the relevant planning committees regarding academic plans and program development.
- Reviewing academic study plans to ensure consistency with accreditation requirements and departmental needs before approval by the Department Council.
- Studying improvement proposals to develop academic performance and completing required actions for each specialization .
Faculty Affairs Committee
Key Tasks:
- Detailing the department's needs for faculty members and lecturers, and submitting recommendations to the head of the department.
- Creating a database that includes faculty information and teaching statistics by specialization.
- Developing criteria and conditions for hiring faculty members and outlining regulations governing work within the department.
- Reviewing faculty transfer, delegation, secondment, resignation, consultancy requests, and participation in seminars and conferences, then submitting recommendations to the Department Council.
- Reviewing requests from lecturers and teaching assistants for admission into postgraduate programs, in line with the department's needs and policies.
- Monitoring the community partnership activities carried out by faculty members in collaboration with local organizations.
Student Affairs Committee
Key Tasks:
- Conducting personal interviews for applicants to the Master's programs offered by the department.
- Discussing all student related matters such as registration, postponement, withdrawal, excuse requests, and reinstatement.
