The Department of Educational Leadership and Policies contributes to achieving quality and sustainable development in teaching, scientific research, and community service, through flexible and standardized support for the college's efforts in societal reform, which gives educational work a degree of cognitive sufficiency and performance efficiency, in terms of educational leadership and educational policies, in order to achieve professional precedence and academic excellence.
The department is committed, in its professional culture and procedural practices, to following up on the Kingdom's Vision 2030, including planned and balanced interaction with the roles and declared tasks of educational profession experts and pioneers, which educates the professional community in areas related to the department: academically and scientifically, as well as developing qualitative initiatives in aspects such as training, partnership in building legislation, reviewing systems, and constitutions.
One of the primary goals of the department is to develop students' understanding of these economic, political, cultural, environmental, and information challenges, and their relationship to education, in order to form positive attitudes, and a more accurate and deeper understanding of educational philosophy and its applications, by enabling students to acquire skills to analyze educational issues, and name possible strategies for dealing and confrontation; to employ such conscious practices in building leadership figures with flexible awareness of educational policies. The department supports the professionalization of educational leadership, and the making of educational policies, in accordance with the qualitative roles of the leader and the legislator in the educational field, both influential and influenced, and based on the fact that there is a need for diverse development for individuals working in the educational field, towards achieving integration between the activities of school work in particular, and between the components of the educational community in general. In addition to the department's efforts to prepare those concerned with the educational process for a more accurate, deeper, more flexible, and procedural understanding of the relationship between the educational institution and the rest of the community institutions, in a way that supports the integration of items and efforts to achieve acceptance, understanding, and a solution to the problems of society, and enriches and supports the educational achievement, according to the vision of the university and the college.

The department will soon announce its programs in postgraduate studies and qualitative educational diplomas; with the aim of providing the opportunity for educators with competence and readiness; to complete their postgraduate studies in specializations belonging to the fields of: educational leadership and educational policies; with the aim of creating specialized researchers: experts and trustees in leadership and educational policies, in a way that supports the establishment of a practical culture that suits the needs of those concerned with the specialization, and suffices them, in light of realistic experience of the problems of the educational field related to it, leading to the development of a research map based on a field study prepared by the department.
